DOH and CDC update COVID-19 isolation and quarantine guidelines

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health updated COVID-19 isolation and quarantine recommendations for the public.

The changes include:

  • People with COVID-19 now only need to isolate for 5 days, instead of 10, if they are asymptomatic on day five. Then they need to wear a mask when around others for another five days.
  • Vaccinated individuals who have received their booster do not need to quarantine but should wear a mask for 10 days after exposure.
  • Unvaccinated people or those that are more than six months from their original mRNA dose or more than two months after the J&J vaccine and not yet boosted should quarantine for five days followed by strict mask use for another five days if exposed.

Vaccination is still the best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19, according to the state Department of Health.

Why vaccinate children?

I'm sure my post will not be accepted very well, but I continue to be amazed why anyone would willingly let their children be experimented on with an untested concoction.  It is not even a true vaccine according to the CDC website - at least it was until they changed their definition after it became clear that the shots actually don't work.  But, back to my main point, the statistics show that it is very, very rare for children to get seriously ill from covid much less die from it.  No one, absolutely no one, knows the long term side effects from these shots.  I respectfully offer my opinion, thank you.
